Vanilla Custard Pie 🥧
Ingredients:
Pie crust (used the last set of homemade puff pastry I had left in the freezer, realized that when I baked it as my pie base, it fluffed! 😂 so I put some weight on it while baking✌🏼)
Custard filling:
2 whole eggs
2 egg yolks
Pinch of salt
1 1/4 cups brown sugar (that made the custard brownish instead if having the pale yellow color)
3 cups milk (used oat milk, but whole milk would be better)
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 tablespoons butter
